In May 2025, Biffy Clyro surprised fans with an intimate secret show at SWG3 in Glasgow under their original name, Screwfish. The performance marked a return to their roots and featured the live debuts of two new songs, “A Little Love” and “1001.” The following day, “A Little Love” was confirmed as the lead single, released on June 11 with an accompanying music video. Soon after, the band began teasing the title of their next album, revealing one letter per day on their website before officially announcing Futique on June 25.
Building anticipation through the summer, Biffy Clyro delivered a landmark set on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on June 27, further cementing their reputation as one of the UK’s most commanding live acts. A second single, “Hunting Season,” arrived on July 31, continuing the rollout with a dynamic mix of urgency and atmosphere that hinted at the record’s expansive sonic direction.
Ahead of the album’s release, “True Believer” followed on September 5, setting the stage for Futique’s arrival at midnight on September 19. That same morning, the band shared the video for “Goodbye,” closing a meticulously crafted campaign that balanced nostalgia, reinvention, and emotional depth. The Futique era reaffirms Biffy Clyro’s ability to evolve while staying true to the restless ambition that has defined their career.
