Greatest Hits is a compilation album by American rock band ZZ Top, released in 1992. The collection focuses primarily on material recorded between Degüello and Recycler, covering the period in which the band combined its blues rock foundation with synthesizers, drum machines, and the more polished production style associated with its 1980s work.
The album includes major singles and album tracks from Eliminator, Afterburner, and Recycler, alongside earlier material such as "Tush," "La Grange," "Cheap Sunglasses," and "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide." It also features the non album tracks "Viva Las Vegas" and "Gun Love," with "Viva Las Vegas" having previously been released as a single.
Greatest Hits presents a broad overview of ZZ Top's most commercially successful period, with particular emphasis on the band's 1980s recordings and their transition from straightforward boogie rock to a more electronic studio sound.
