Radio Retaliation is the fifth studio album by Thievery Corporation, released in 2008 through ESL Music. Recorded in Washington, D.C. between 2007 and 2008, the album was conceived as an explicitly political work and continued the duo's blend of electronic music with international influences and socially conscious themes.
The record places political commentary at the center of its identity, with its presentation reflecting the same outlook. The cover features a photograph of Mexican rebel Subcomandante Marcos, reinforcing the album's focus on resistance, activism, and opposition to established power structures. "The Numbers Game" was released as a single and later received a music video.
Radio Retaliation was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Recording Package, giving the album recognition not only for its music but also for its visual presentation.
