The Bloody Light is the eighth studio album by the Trews. Formed in Antigonish in Nova Scotia, the group recorded the album with producers Brett and Jay Emmons of the Glorious Sons, who worked alongside the band. The project follows the 2021 album Wanderer and reflects a continued collaboration between the Trews and the Emmons brothers, whose production history with the group dates back more than a decade.
Sessions began in summer 2023, during which the band and producers developed the material that forms The Bloody Light. The album includes the single “Dont Get Lost in the Dark,” which was released with a video directed by Jeff Nedza.
The Bloody Light is scheduled for release on October 24 through Known Accomplice and Cadence Music Group.
