Reality Awaits is the seventh studio album by the Strokes, released in 2026. It is the band’s first album since The New Abnormal and was recorded with producer Rick Rubin in Costa Rica.
The album was introduced through the singles “Going Shopping” and “Falling Out of Love”. Its release was accompanied by In Transit: Part II, a short documentary following the recording process and referencing the band’s original In Transit film from 2001.
The cover, created by Johann Rashid, is based on Richard Prince’s 1989 photograph (Untitled) Cowboy.
