...Best II is a compilation album by the Smiths, released in 1992 through WEA and Sire Records. Issued after WEA acquired the band’s catalogue, it followed the first volume of the label’s two part retrospective series.
The collection combines singles with album tracks drawn from across the Smiths’ career, including “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out”, which was released as a single ahead of the album. Rather than following a strict chronological sequence, the track list presents a broad cross section of the band’s recorded work.
