Mixes of a Lost World is the latest remix collection from The Cure, available now via Fiction and Polydor. Conceived and compiled by Robert Smith, the album reimagines tracks from the band’s 2024 release Songs of a Lost World through the lens of an eclectic lineup of producers, including Four Tet, Paul Oakenfold, Orbital, and Trentemøller.
The project began with a batch of unsolicited remixes that caught Smith’s attention, prompting him to imagine what a full reinterpretation of the album might sound like. The result is a companion piece that offers an alternate, late-night dimension to Songs of a Lost World, with all recording royalties donated to War Child UK.
Available as a double 180g half-speed mastered LP on black bio vinyl and housed in a gatefold sleeve, Mixes of a Lost World is The Cure’s third official remix album, following Mixed Up (1990) and Torn Down (2018).
