Move Along is the second studio album by American rock band the All-American Rejects, released on July 12, 2005, through Interscope Records. It marked the first appearance of guitarist Mike Kennerty and drummer Chris Gaylor in the group’s lineup and was produced by Howard Benson, with mixing by Chris Lord-Alge. Recording took place over seven weeks in California, following a period of writing that began in late 2003 and continued throughout 2004.
The album produced three major singles—Dirty Little Secret, Move Along, and It Ends Tonight—each reaching the Billboard Hot 100’s top 15 and helping the record achieve triple-platinum certification in the United States. Dirty Little Secret became the band’s highest-charting single, peaking at No. 9, while It Ends Tonight followed closely at No. 8.
Critically, Move Along was generally well received. Reviewers praised its polished production and melodic hooks, with AllMusic describing it as a refined evolution of the band’s pop-punk sound. Publications such as Blender and Entertainment Weekly gave favorable scores, noting the album’s accessibility and strong songwriting. Commercially, it debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and spent more than 80 weeks on the chart, eventually selling over three million copies.
