Solace is the third studio album by Rüfüs Du Sol, released in 2018. Recorded during a period spent between Los Angeles and the surrounding desert landscape, the album presents a darker and more restrained development of the group’s electronic dance sound.
Across nine tracks, Solace combines atmospheric synthesizers, steady club rhythms, and prominent vocal performances with lyrics centred on distance, change, and emotional uncertainty. “No Place”, “Underwater”, “Lost in My Mind”, and “Treat You Better” balance melodic dance production with slower, more ambient passages.
The album won Best Dance Release at the 2019 ARIA Music Awards and received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album.
