Hail to the Thief (Live Recordings 2003–2009) revisits one of Radiohead’s most politically charged albums through a collection of live performances captured between 2003 and 2009. Drawn from shows in London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, and Dublin, the set presents the band’s evolving interpretations of material from Hail to the Thief during a period of creative transition. The recordings were mixed by Ben Baptie and mastered by Matt Colton.
The album was conceived after Thom Yorke revisited the band’s archives while developing his Hamlet / Hail to the Thief stage collaboration. Struck by the raw energy of those early performances, Yorke and the band decided to compile and release them rather than keep them shelved.
Released on August 13, 2025, the collection captures Radiohead at their most dynamic—bridging the tension of Hail to the Thief’s studio precision with the volatility and spontaneity of their live sound.
