Wild Wood is Paul Weller's second solo album, released in 1993. Following his self titled solo debut, the album marked a creative turning point, drawing on folk, rock, soul, and psychedelic influences while showcasing a more organic, guitar driven sound.
The album features the singles “Wild Wood”, “Sunflower”, “The Weaver”, and “Hung Up”. Combining acoustic arrangements with melodic songwriting, the songs reflect themes of renewal, nature, love, and self discovery, balancing introspective moments with Weller's longstanding affinity for classic British rock and soul.
Wild Wood reached number two on the UK Albums Chart and was widely praised by critics upon release. The album played an important role in Weller's resurgence during the 1990s, re-establishing him as one of Britain's leading songwriters and helping shape the sound of British rock in the years that followed.
