The Boys of Dungeon Lane is Paul McCartney’s twentieth solo studio album, released in 2026 through Capitol Records. Co-produced with Andrew Watt, the album draws heavily on McCartney’s memories of growing up in the Speke area of Liverpool, taking its title from a road that featured in one of his earlier, unreleased songs.
Recorded over several years between sessions for McCartney’s Got Back tour, the album features McCartney playing most of the instruments himself, with guest appearances including Ringo Starr on the duet “Home to Us”. Songs throughout the record reflect on family, friendship, place, and the passage of time, while combining melodic pop, rock, and acoustic arrangements with a distinctly autobiographical focus.
Upon release, The Boys of Dungeon Lane received widespread critical acclaim, with reviewers frequently noting its reflective tone and personal subject matter. Many critics highlighted the album's songwriting and cohesive theme, viewing it as one of McCartney's most focused studio releases of recent years.
