NEW LP
New sealed copy. 2025 repress.
Operating out of his 333 House studio in Los Angeles, Pachy García (aka Pachyman) channels vintage dub through a modern Caribbean filter on The Return of Pachyman. Drawing deep influence from King Tubby, Scientist, and early Wailers records, García handles every instrument and dials in a raw, analog-heavy sound rooted in classic roots reggae. His self-described “x-ray” approach strips dub down to its bones, radiating warmth, rhythm, and intention.
A former jazz student and punk drummer, García brings a rare blend of precision and looseness to the project. Inspired by his Puerto Rican roots and LA’s underground Dub Club scene, he uses reel-to-reel machines, old microphones, and a heavy dose of groove to connect the sounds of San Juan, Kingston, and Southern California. The Return of Pachyman isn’t just a stylistic homage—it’s a love letter to rhythm and a call for positivity in a noisy world.
