Mule is the fourth studio album by Orville Peck, released in 2026 through Warner Records. Produced by Jay Joyce, the album follows the 2025 Appaloosa EP and presents a chronological account of a difficult period in Peck's life, tracing addiction, treatment, relapse, sobriety, and the gradual rebuilding of relationships and personal stability.

Musically, the record draws from traditional country, bluegrass, and Americana, placing Peck's baritone vocals within arrangements featuring acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, mandolin, organ, and a full rhythm section. Emmylou Harris, Noah Cyrus, and Allison Russell appear on the opening "Prologue (Eulogy Of A Man Turned Mule)," while musicians including Molly Tuttle, Ketch Secor, and Ry Jennings contribute elsewhere. Songs such as "Already Gone," "Rehab Blues," "The Fall," and "War of the Worlds" follow different stages of the album's narrative.

The title reflects Peck's sense of being caught between different parts of his identity, including the divide between his public career and private life. Closing with "Mule," the record uses that image as the endpoint of an album concerned with recovery, accountability, love, and learning how to live with the experiences that shaped him.
