The Best of New Order is a greatest hits collection released in 1994 by London Records, with a revised edition issued in North America the following year. Compiled during the band’s hiatus after Republic, it focuses primarily on singles released from the mid 1980s through the early 1990s.
The collection includes “True Faith”, “Bizarre Love Triangle”, “The Perfect Kiss”, “Round & Round”, and “Regret”, with several tracks appearing in alternate or updated mixes. “Vanishing Point” is included as the sole album track on the UK edition, while the North American version adds earlier material from Movement, Power, Corruption & Lies, and Low Life.
The album reached number four on the UK Albums Chart and provides a concise overview of New Order’s transition from post punk into electronic pop and dance music.
