Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (often shortened to Three Cheers or Revenge) is the second studio album by American rock band My Chemical Romance, released on June 8, 2004, by Reprise Records. Compared to their 2002 debut I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, this album offers a more polished sound, establishing the band’s signature mix of punk, emo, and alternative rock. Three Cheers also marked the first release to feature rhythm guitarist Frank Iero on all tracks, while serving as the final album for drummer Matt Pelissier, who would later be replaced by Bob Bryar.
The album was well-received by critics and became a commercial milestone for My Chemical Romance and their label. Featuring the singles "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)", "Helena", and "The Ghost of You", it struck a chord with audiences and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) less than a year after its release. Since then, it has sold over three million copies in the United States alone. Em Casalena of American Songwriter called it "essential listening" for 2000s emo.
In April 2025, a deluxe edition of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge was announced, and it was released on June 6, 2025. This new version features remixes of all the original tracks, alongside four previously unreleased live recordings.
