Apple is the only full length studio album by Seattle rock band Mother Love Bone, released on 14 August 1990 through Stardog and Mercury Records.

The album was recorded prior to the death of vocalist Andrew Wood, who overdosed on heroin days before its scheduled release and died after several days in a coma. His death brought an abrupt end to the band, and Apple was issued posthumously later that summer. The record later reached number 34 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart in 1992.

Apple expands on the sound introduced on the Shine EP, combining heavy rock, glam influenced melodies, and more expansive song structures. Wood’s vocal style and lyrics are central to the album, balancing theatrical delivery with introspective themes.

The album received generally positive reviews from critics and has grown in stature over time. It has appeared on multiple retrospective lists highlighting key recordings of the early 1990s Seattle rock scene and is frequently cited as a significant release in the band’s brief catalogue.
