Fudge is the fifth studio album by British singer songwriter Michael Kiwanuka, released in 2026 through Polydor Records. Much of the album originated during the same period as Small Changes, but the material developed into a separate project as Kiwanuka continued recording at a small studio near his home. He handled much of the production himself, with additional work from Dom Monks and longtime string arranger Rosie Danvers.
The album combines soul, folk, psychedelic rock, and orchestral arrangements, with acoustic guitar, organ, strings, and extended instrumental passages playing a prominent role. Kiwanuka worked closely with multi instrumentalist Joe Connell, and several songs grew from informal studio performances and improvisation. The seven minute "Love in My Heart" developed from one of these sessions, while other tracks include "Summer Clothes," "California," "Across the Sky," "Stars," "You Sent Me Flying," and "Sing."
Fudge continues the broad musical approach of Kiwanuka's recent work while placing greater emphasis on spontaneous performances and his own production. The album was completed over several years and emerged as a distinct project from the sessions that produced Small Changes.
