Megadeth is the seventeenth and final studio album by American thrash metal band Megadeth, released on 23 January 2026. Produced by Dave Mustaine and Chris Rakestraw, the album marks the band’s farewell release and is accompanied by a final world tour.
The record is the only Megadeth studio album to feature guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari, and the first since Endgame (2009) to include bassist James LoMenzo. Recording began in late 2024, with sessions continuing through 2025.
The album was announced in August 2025 and preceded by four singles: “Tipping Point”, “I Don’t Care”, “Let There Be Shred”, and “Puppet Parade”. Upon release, Megadeth received generally favourable reviews from critics and was positioned as a closing chapter to the band’s four decade recording career.
