NEW LP
New sealed copy. 2015 remastered reissue.
The Holy Bible is the third studio album by Manic Street Preachers and the final release before the disappearance of lyricist and guitarist Richey Edwards. Issued in August 1994, the album captures the band at its most intense and uncompromising, both musically and thematically.
Driven by Edwards’ stark and often harrowing lyrics, the record delves into topics such as political violence, human suffering, mental illness, and self-destruction. Its raw, unflinching tone mirrors Edwards’ own personal struggles during the writing and recording process.
Though its initial commercial performance was modest outside the UK (where it reached number 6), The Holy Bible was met with critical acclaim and has since been recognized as a landmark British rock album. It remains one of the band’s most revered works, regularly appearing on lists of the greatest albums of all time from NME, Q, and Melody Maker.
