Loverboy is the debut studio album by Canadian rock band Loverboy, released in 1980 through CBS Records Canada and later Columbia Records in the United States. Produced by Bruce Fairbairn and engineered by Bob Rock, the album introduced the band's blend of hard rock, melodic hooks, and synthesizer driven arrangements.
The album became a major commercial success in Canada before its American release, eventually selling more than two million copies in the United States. It includes "Turn Me Loose" and "The Kid Is Hot Tonite," two early singles that helped establish Loverboy across North America.
