Bitch is the fifth studio album by Lizzo, released in 2026 through Nice Life and Atlantic Records. Co-written and co-produced with longtime collaborator Ricky Reed, the album blends pop, R&B, hip hop, soul, and synth funk while reflecting Lizzo's renewed focus on creative independence and self expression.
Originally conceived as a more introspective project, the album evolved into a statement of self definition and resilience. Across its songs, Lizzo explores themes of empowerment, vulnerability, confidence, and personal growth, with the title reclaiming a word historically used to diminish women. The album includes the singles “Don't Make Me Love U”, “Bitch”, and “Sexy Ladies”.
Upon release, Bitch received mixed reviews from critics. While opinions differed on its overall direction, reviewers generally praised the album's production, its blend of contemporary and retro influences, and Lizzo's vocal performances.
