Happiness Anytime is the fifth studio album by Leon Bridges, released in 2026 through Columbia Records. Produced by J Lloyd Watson and Lydia Kitto of Jungle, the album grew from an initial four day writing session in Los Angeles that quickly produced six songs. The collaboration developed around spontaneity, with Bridges concentrating on vocals and storytelling while Kitto and Lloyd Watson shaped the melodies, arrangements, and production.
The record places a stronger emphasis on rhythm and movement than the more reflective Leon, combining Bridges' soul foundation with Afrobeat, Brazilian music, disco, and Latin and South American rhythms. Songs such as "Light the Way," "Illusion," "Your Love Is Electric," and "All Day, All Night" reflect this broader approach, while Lydia Kitto also appears as a featured vocalist. Bridges described the project as an effort to return to making music he could dance to and to create something centered on joy rather than escape.
The title reflects Bridges' view of happiness as something that can remain present rather than something constantly pursued. Across its 12 tracks, Happiness Anytime connects the warmth of his earlier soul recordings with the groove driven experimentation of his collaborations with Khruangbin.
