NEW EP
New sealed copy. Reissue.
Paradise is the third extended play (EP) by American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey, released on November 9, 2012, in Australasia and November 11 worldwide via Polydor and Interscope. It was also included in Born to Die: The Paradise Edition, a reissue of her 2012 album Born to Die. Del Rey collaborated with producers Rick Nowels, Justin Parker, and Rick Rubin, crafting a sound that blends baroque pop and trip-hop influences.
The EP received generally favorable reviews from critics and debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200, selling 67,000 copies in its first week. It also reached No. 10 on the Canadian Albums Chart and placed within the top 10 in Flanders and Poland, as well as the top 20 in Wallonia and the Netherlands.
The lead single, Ride, became a modest success in the U.S., Switzerland, Ireland, and France, while breaking into the top 10 in Russia. Promotional singles included a cover of Blue Velvet and Burning Desire, both of which, along with Ride and Bel Air, received music videos.
In December 2013, Del Rey released Tropico, a short film directed by Anthony Mandler that featured Body Electric, Gods & Monsters, and Bel Air. That same month, an accompanying Tropico EP was released. In 2014, Paradise earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.
