Los Ojos Del Cóndor is an album by Swiss Ecuadorian instrumental duo Hermanos Gutiérrez, released in 2026 through Easy Eye Sound. Produced by Dan Auerbach and recorded at Easy Eye Sound Studios in Nashville, the record is the brothers' third collaboration with the label and producer. Following the desert landscapes and cosmic imagery of their recent work, the album turns more directly toward their family history and the musical traditions of South America.
Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez draw on their mother's Ecuadorian background, their Peruvian family heritage, and the geography of the Andes, incorporating influences from cumbia, milonga, salsa, and other Latin traditions into their intertwined instrumental guitar style. Estevan returned to the nylon string guitar he received from his father as a child, while Alejandro introduced the charango on several tracks. Lap steel, organ, and additional studio musicians expand the arrangements while preserving the simplicity and interplay between the brothers' guitars.
Songs including "Canto Andino," "Ciudad Inca," "Tren Macho," "Los Andes," and the title track use Andean landscapes, history, and travel as recurring points of reference. The condor serves as a central image throughout the album, representing a perspective from above and connecting the record's themes of movement, family, place, and cultural heritage.
