NEW DOUBLE LP
New sealed copy. Limited edition on translucent highlighter yellow coloured vinyl.
Hayley Williams' third studio album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, was released on August 28, 2025, through her independent imprint Post Atlantic, marking her first release following her 2023 departure from Atlantic Records after over 20 years. The album's unconventional rollout began on July 28, 2025, when Williams uploaded 17 songs to her website, accessible only via a code sent to customers of her hair dye company Good Dye Young. She surprise-released these tracks individually to streaming services on August 1, with two additional songs added on October 24 and November 7, bringing the total to 20 tracks including the single "Parachute."
Williams co-wrote the songs and performed several instruments, collaborating with producer Daniel James alongside contributions from Jim-E Stack and Brian Robert Jones. The album blends alternative rock, indie rock, trip hop, pop, and folk with elements of synth-pop and shoegaze. Music videos were released for "Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party" and "Glum," the latter co-directed by Paramore's Zac Farro. Williams stated she didn't consider it an album during the writing process, instead viewing the songs as individual singles.
Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party received widespread critical acclaim, earning a Metacritic score of 91/100 indicating "universal acclaim." Rolling Stone ranked it number 9 on their list of The 100 Best Albums of 2025. Physical formats were released on November 7, 2025, with in-person listening party events dubbed "Ego Nites" held at record stores worldwide.
