Hey Love is the eighth studio album by Toronto singer songwriter Hayden, released through Arts & Crafts. Following Us Alone in 2013, the album continues his understated approach to folk and indie rock while placing greater emphasis on relationships, uncertainty, and emotional distance.
The record combines restrained arrangements with piano, electric guitar, synthesizer, pedal steel, and softly layered vocals. Songs such as "Hey Love," "Nowhere We Cannot Go," and "Troubled Times" balance personal writing with warm, spacious production, moving between themes of commitment, strain, resilience, and the uneasy coexistence of hope and disappointment.
Recorded largely in Hayden's home studio, Hey Love presents some of his most direct writing while maintaining the subdued pacing and intimate production that have remained central to his work.
