Ironman is the debut studio album by Ghostface Killah, released in 1996 through Razor Sharp Records, Wu Tang Records, and Epic Street. Produced by RZA, the album emerged during the first wave of Wu Tang Clan solo releases and features extensive contributions from Raekwon and Cappadonna, who appear throughout the record alongside Ghostface.
The album combines dense street narratives, organized crime imagery, and detailed storytelling with more personal material, most notably "All That I Got Is You," a tribute to Ghostface's mother. RZA's production draws heavily from 1970s soul, dark keyboard textures, and blaxploitation film influences, creating a sound that is both melodic and rugged. Ghostface's rapid, highly descriptive delivery and loose stream of consciousness style became defining elements of his work, while songs such as "260" demonstrate his ability to build vivid narrative scenes.
Ironman debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and was later certified platinum in the United States. It became Ghostface Killah's best selling album and remains one of the most prominent solo releases associated with the Wu Tang Clan's 1990s run.
