Getting Killed is the fourth studio album by New York band Geese, released on September 26, 2025 through Partisan Records and Play It Again Sam. It marks their first release without founding guitarist Foster Hudson, who left the group in 2023. The album was recorded in January 2025 and produced by the band with Kenny Beats, continuing the group's shift toward abrasive, free-form songwriting following frontman Cameron Winter’s 2024 solo record.
Tracked over ten days, the album has been characterized as chaotic in structure and emotionally charged, moving between tension, noise, and sparse melodic moments. Early singles included “Taxes,” “Trinidad,” and “100 Horses,” with the rollout featuring a briefly leaked track previewed on Winter’s social media. The band supported the release with a North American tour beginning in October 2025.
Critically, Getting Killed received widespread praise, earning an average score of 89 on Metacritic. Reviewers highlighted its mix of art rock, no wave influences, and experimental approach, noting a rawer, more confrontational sound than the band’s earlier work.
