Grass Can Move Stones is the concluding chapter of Fucked Up’s long running Zodiac series, beginning with the album Year of the Goat. The project completes a sequence that started in 2006 with Year of the Dog and has unfolded intermittently over nearly two decades. Grass Can Move Stones encompasses the final three Zodiac entries, Goat, Monkey, and Rooster, presented as a connected body of work across three albums.
The release follows 2021’s Year of the Horse and expands the scope of the series to ten total entries. Across these albums, the band revisits and reframes musical ideas developed throughout the earlier Zodiac releases while presenting entirely new material. The three records together form a continuous narrative and musical structure.
Year of the Goat is the first installment and was released on December 5 2025. It features contributions from Tuka Mohammed, Tamara Lindeman, Jennifer Castle, and Dwid Hellion. The remaining entries, Year of the Monkey and Year of the Rooster, are scheduled for release in spring 2026 and autumn 2026. The final album will coincide with the twentieth anniversary of the Zodiac series.
