Head Games is the third studio album by British American rock band Foreigner, released in 1979 through Atlantic Records. Recorded primarily at Atlantic Studios in New York, the album was co produced by Roy Thomas Baker, known for his work with Queen. It was the first Foreigner album to feature bassist Rick Wills and the last to include founding members Ian McDonald and Al Greenwood.
The album continues the band's hard rock and melodic rock sound, with Lou Gramm handling most of the lead vocals and guitarist Mick Jones singing "The Modern Day." Songs include "Dirty White Boy," "Head Games," "Women," "Rev on the Red Line," and "Seventeen." "Dirty White Boy" reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the title track reached number 14.
Head Games peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 and was eventually certified five times Platinum in the United States.
