What Went Down is the fourth studio album by British rock band Foals, released on August 28, 2015, through Transgressive Records. Produced by James Ford (known for his work with Arctic Monkeys and Simian Mobile Disco), the album marked a deliberate move toward a heavier, more aggressive sound that frontman Yannis Philippakis described as their “loudest and heaviest” yet. Debuting at number three on the UK Albums Chart and number 58 in the US, What Went Down solidified Foals’ reputation as one of Britain’s most powerful and enduring modern rock acts.
