NEW DOUBLE LP
New sealed copy. 2025 reissue on white vinyl.
Greatest serves as the most comprehensive overview of Duran Duran’s catalog to date, spanning their 1981 debut through 1997’s Medazzaland while excluding tracks from 1995’s Thank You. Designed as an update to the 1989 compilation Decade, this collection includes all 14 tracks from that release, adds “New Moon on Monday,” and features four additional singles from the 1990s. Several songs appear in edited form to accommodate the single-disc format, including a unique version of “Rio” found only on this compilation and The Essential Collection.
Released by EMI shortly after parting ways with the band, Greatest marked the beginning of a series of catalog-focused reissues. “Electric Barbarella” was re-released in the UK to promote the album, following its original 1997 single release in North America. By 2008, the compilation had sold over 1.3 million copies in the US and was certified Platinum. Though not a complete singles collection, Greatest remains Duran Duran’s most commercially successful release to date.
