Dry Cleaning's third studio album, Secret Love, was released on January 9, 2026, through 4AD Records. Produced by Welsh musician Cate Le Bon, it is their first album not produced by John Parish after working with him on New Long Leg (2021) and Stumpwork (2022). The band began writing in summer 2024 and recorded demos at Wilco's The Loft in Chicago and Gilla Band's Sonic Studios in Dublin before re-recording almost everything with Le Bon at Black Box Studios in the Loire Valley, France in May 2025.

The album continues to expand upon the post-punk style of their earlier work, with vocalist Florence Shaw increasingly incorporating sung vocals alongside her spoken word delivery. Le Bon encouraged Shaw to sing when lyrics were more emotionally driven, particularly on tracks like "Secret Love (Concealed in a Drawing of a Boy)" and "I Need You." Guest contributors include Jeff Tweedy on guitar and Bruce Lamont on saxophone.

Secret Love received widespread critical acclaim, earning a Metacritic score of 87/100 indicating "universal acclaim." Mojo awarded it five stars, while Uncut gave it 9/10, calling it "the most varied (and often delicate) the band has ever sounded." The album was preceded by four singles including "Hit My Head All Day," "Cruise Ship Designer," "Let Me Grow and You'll See the Fruit," and "Joy." It debuted at number 12 on the UK Albums Chart.
