Scorpion is the fifth studio album by Canadian rapper Drake, released in 2018 through Cash Money Records, Republic Records, and Young Money Entertainment. Structured as a 25 track double album, its first half is centered on hip hop while the second leans more heavily into R&B and pop. Drake served as executive producer alongside longtime collaborator 40 and Oliver El Khatib, with guest appearances from Jay Z, Ty Dolla Sign, Michael Jackson, and Static Major.
The album moves between trap, soul, ambient production, quiet storm, electronica, and contemporary R&B, with Drake returning to themes of fame, relationships, anxiety, success, and public scrutiny. Songs including "God's Plan," "Nice for What," "In My Feelings," "Nonstop," and "Don't Matter to Me" became major singles, with the first three reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
Scorpion debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and broke major streaming records upon release, including first day records on both Spotify and Apple Music. The album received five Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year, while "God's Plan" won Best Rap Song.
