Sometimes Lullaby is a companion album to City and Colour’s 2005 debut Sometimes, released on November 28 2025 through Dine Alone Records as part of Record Store Day Black Friday. The record presents lullaby styled reworkings of songs from the original album, arranged and recorded by Dallas Green with longtime collaborator Erik Hughes of Moneen.
Created to mark the twentieth anniversary of Sometimes, the project reframes the material with softer, more minimal arrangements intended for quiet, late night listening. The sessions were initially completed several years earlier and later revisited as part of the anniversary campaign.
The artwork was designed by Olivie Mew of Stay Home Club, who adapted the original album cover using Redwork, an American folk embroidery style traditionally associated with children’s stitching.
