Better Oblivion Community Center is the only studio album by American indie rock duo Better Oblivion Community Center, composed of Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers. Released on January 24, 2019, through Dead Oceans, the album was written and recorded in secret in Los Angeles in mid to late 2018. Described as "soft rock for hard times" by Rolling Stone and a "tight-knit folk-rock album" by Pitchfork, the record functions as a loose concept album about a fictional dystopian wellness facility.

The album featured an elaborate rollout with cryptic brochures and a telephone hotline. The duo performed "Dylan Thomas" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on January 23, 2019, one day before the album's release. A music video for "Dylan Thomas," directed by Michelle Zauner of Japanese Breakfast, was released alongside the announcement of their initial US and European tour on January 29, 2019.

Better Oblivion Community Center received generally positive reviews from critics, earning a Metacritic score of 78/100. Rolling Stone praised the duo's harmonies, noting how "Oberst's voice often just a brooding floorboard creak behind Bridgers' brightly bloodshot confidences." Clash called it "a near perfect record" that "effortlessly blends country, electro elements and alt-rock with ease," while Exclaim! highlighted moments where it doesn't sound like anything either artist had released before. The album ranked number 9 on Exclaim!'s top albums of 2019 mid-year list.
