Built around pop, R&B, and trap production, the album includes the singles “Thank U, Next”, “7 Rings”, and “Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored”. Its songs address grief, independence, denial, self reflection, and emotional recovery, with Grande using a more conversational and personal writing style throughout.
Thank U, Next debuted at number one in multiple countries and broke several streaming records upon release. All 12 tracks entered the Billboard Hot 100, with the three singles occupying the top three positions at the same time.
