Medusa is the second solo album from Scottish singer Annie Lennox, released in 1995. Composed entirely of cover songs, the album showcases Lennox’s ability to reinterpret familiar material with elegance and emotional depth. It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and reached number eleven in the US, eventually earning double platinum certifications in both countries.
Led by the sweeping single “No More 'I Love You's’,” which earned Lennox a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Medusa also includes her takes on “A Whiter Shade of Pale,” “Waiting in Vain,” and “Something So Right.” It remains one of Lennox’s most commercially successful and critically recognized projects, with over six million copies sold worldwide.
