Arcadia marks the long-awaited return of Alison Krauss & Union Station, arriving 14 years after their Grammy-winning Paper Airplane (2011) and four years after Krauss’s Raise the Roof collaboration with Robert Plant. Released on March 28, 2025 via Down the Road Records, the album captures the group at a pivotal moment—bidding farewell to longtime member Dan Tyminski while welcoming bluegrass veteran Russell Moore.

Co-produced by the band, Arcadia is steeped in themes of memory, loss, and resilience. Krauss describes it as a tribute to the way stories were once told—tales of struggle and loyalty passed down through generations. “It’s a calling,” she said. “I feel privileged to be a messenger of somebody else’s story.”

The album was sparked by its lead single, “Looks Like the End of the Road,” a track Krauss says brought the project into focus. “It felt so alive—I could hear the guys already playing it.” The follow-up single, “Granite Mills,” features Moore on lead vocals, making a strong first impression. “He just stands there and sings with his hands in his pockets, and he kills it,” Krauss noted. “He came in and inspired us all.”

Arcadia also includes a nod to Tyminski with a cover of one of his songs, bridging the past and present of Union Station. Fiddle legend Stuart Duncan joins the band for their extensive 2025 tour, which spans 73 dates across North America, with Willie Watson supporting. The tour kicks off April 25 in Atlanta and wraps September 28 in Davie, Florida.

At once a reflection and a renewal, Arcadia reaffirms Union Station’s deep roots in American storytelling—told with grace, grit, and enduring harmony.
