So Much for Goodbyes is the fifth studio album by American bluegrass musician Billy Strings, released in 2026 through Reprise Records. Produced by Strings and T Bone Burnett, the album was recorded in Nashville with his longtime band and a group of guests including Alison Krauss, Del McCoury, Bryan Sutton, Paul Franklin, and Mickey Raphael.

The 16 song album was written during a period of grief following the death of Strings' mother, Debra Apostol, in 2025. Rather than moving away from his bluegrass foundation, the record uses it as the starting point for songs dealing with loss, memory, family, life on the road, and mortality. Its arrangements also draw from country and folk traditions, with occasional elements of heartland rock and heavier guitar music appearing alongside the acoustic instrumentation.

Songs including "Burn the Other End," "Mill Town Flood," "Still I Crash," and "Lay Me Down" develop those themes from different perspectives, while the album closes with the instrumental "Debra's Waltz." The cover features original artwork by Apostol, further connecting the record to the personal circumstances in which it was created.
