Station to Station is the tenth studio album by David Bowie, released on 23 January 1976 by RCA Records. Recorded primarily at Cherokee Studios in late 1975, the album was co produced by Bowie and Harry Maslin and introduced Bowie’s Thin White Duke persona.

Following Young Americans, the album marked a stylistic shift, blending funk and soul with European influences drawn from German krautrock, particularly Neu! and Kraftwerk. The sessions established Bowie’s core mid to late 1970s band, featuring Carlos Alomar, George Murray, and Dennis Davis, with additional contributions from Earl Slick and Roy Bittan.

Station to Station was preceded by the single “Golden Years” and reached the top five on both the UK and US album charts. Bowie supported the album with the 1976 Isolar Tour before relocating to Europe, where the ideas introduced here would carry forward into his Berlin Trilogy.
