Released on July 26, 2005, All We Know Is Falling marked the debut studio album from American rock band Paramore. Issued through the Atlantic-distributed Fueled by Ramen, the album was produced by James Paul Wisner, Mike Green, Nick Trevisick, and Roger Alan Nichols. Lyrically and thematically, it was shaped by the departure of bassist Jeremy Davis, which occurred shortly after the band arrived in Orlando to begin recording. This sense of loss informed both the album's title and its artwork.
Rooted in the pop-punk sound that defined mid-2000s alternative music, All We Know Is Falling received a warm critical reception upon release, with particular praise for Hayley Williams’ commanding vocals. Rather than relying on major radio promotion, the band's label prioritized grassroots momentum, encouraging Paramore to build an audience through relentless touring and word of mouth. While the album initially struggled commercially—missing the Billboard 200 but peaking at No. 30 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart—it gained traction overseas, reaching No. 4 on the UK Rock Chart. In 2010, it climbed to No. 51 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
As Paramore’s profile grew with subsequent releases, All We Know Is Falling was reassessed as a formative record in the band’s career. In July 2014, it received gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The album spawned three singles—"Pressure," "Emergency," and "All We Know"—none of which made a major chart impact at the time. However, "Pressure" achieved gold status from the RIAA in 2016, a testament to the band’s enduring legacy. Now regarded as a seminal release in the pop-punk and emo scene, All We Know Is Falling remains a touchstone for fans of the genre.
