NEW LP

New sealed copy. Indie record store exclusive limited edition on seafoam green coloured vinyl. Housed in a gatefold jacket.

On her seventh studio album Man’s Best Friend, Sabrina Carpenter expands the pop vision she refined on Short n’ Sweet with help once again from producers Jack Antonoff and John Ryan. Written and recorded less than a year after that release, the album continues her streak of tight, melodic pop with a sharp sense of humor and strong visual identity.

The project is led by the chart-topping single “Manchild”, a country-tinged pop track that skewers male immaturity with wit and bounce, and features a fast-cut, cinematic video full of surreal Americana. Second single “Tears” arrived alongside the album.

The album also sparked major conversation around its provocative artwork, which divided critics and fans alike. Carpenter later released a string of alternate covers, playing into and pushing back on the media attention. While some framed the imagery as pandering or regressive, others saw it as a pointed, satirical response to societal expectations around female sexuality and control.

Man’s Best Friend maintains Carpenter’s position as one of mainstream pop’s most self-aware and self-assured voices, balancing chart ambition with boundary-pushing imagery and personal songwriting.
