3D Country is the third studio album by American indie rock band Geese, released in 2023 through Partisan Records and Play It Again Sam. Produced by James Ford, the album marked a significant expansion of the band's sound beyond the post punk framework of Projector, incorporating elements of art rock, alternative country, blues rock, and more improvisational arrangements.
The album is loosely centered on the story of a cowboy wandering through the desert while under the influence of psychedelic drugs, with lyrics touching on love, despair, identity, and the apocalypse. Songs such as "Cowboy Nudes," "Mysterious Love," "3D Country," and "I See Myself" reflect the record's wider dynamic range and more theatrical approach to songwriting.
3D Country was the final Geese album to feature guitarist Foster Hudson, who left the band later in 2023. Additional material from the recording sessions was released that October on the 4D Country EP.
