The soundtrack album for the highly anticipated Bob Dylan biographical film, A Complete Unknown, features compelling music primarily penned by Dylan himself. Timothée Chalamet, who plays Dylan in the film, brings a fresh perspective to the legendary singer-songwriter’s work.
The soundtrack also includes performances from Monica Barbaro, Edward Norton, and Boyd Holbrook, who interpret iconic roles of Joan Baez, Pete Seeger, and Johnny Cash, respectively. Produced by James Mangold, the album promises a robust listening experience. Two tracks, “Like a Rolling Stone” featuring Chalamet and a duet of “Girl from the North Country” by Chalamet and Barbaro, were released in December 2024 and generated buzz among fans and critics.
A Complete Unknown was released digitally by Columbia Records on December 20, 2024, with a 16-track vinyl release set for January 2025.
