Wolf Alice return with The Clearing, their fourth studio album and first for RCA Records, released August 22, 2025. Marking a clean break from their previous label Dirty Hit, the album sees the London-based band expanding their sonic palette under the guidance of producer Greg Kurstin in Los Angeles. Written in the Seven Sisters area of North London, the record channels a warm 1970s pop-rock sensibility while maintaining the band’s sharp, contemporary edge.
Described as playful yet grounded, The Clearing is a confident step forward, pairing clarity with experimentation. The lead single “Bloom Baby Bloom” blends shimmering textures with Ellie Rowsell’s commanding vocal performance, while “The Sofa” closes the album on a more reflective note. The third single, “White Horses,” sees drummer Joel Amey step into a co-lead vocal role, further underscoring the band’s evolving dynamic.
With its mix of classic songwriting instincts and modern production, The Clearing stands as a mature, intentional record from a band continuing to shape their own lane. A full North American and European tour will follow through fall 2025.
