Van Halen – Balance (New Vinyl) (Expanded Edition) (Orange Vinyl)

$51.95

NEW DOUBLE LP (SIDE D ETCHED)

New sealed copy. 2025 indie record store exclusive reissue on transparent orange coloured vinyl.

Released in January 1995, Balance is Van Halen’s tenth studio album and the last to feature Sammy Hagar on vocals and Michael Anthony on bass in full. Recorded primarily at Eddie Van Halen’s 5150 Studios and produced by Bruce Fairbairn, the album showcases a darker, more introspective tone than its predecessors. Tracks like “The Seventh Seal” reflect Eddie’s early days of sobriety, while “Can’t Stop Lovin’ You” leans into Hagar’s melodic sensibilities. Three instrumentals round out the set, including the atmospheric “Strung Out.”

Balance debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, going on to sell over three million copies in the U.S. and earning triple platinum status. It was supported by the band’s 1995 world tour—nicknamed the “Ambulance Tour” due to both Eddie’s and Alex’s health issues at the time. Despite its commercial success, the album arrived amid growing tensions within the band and ultimately marked the end of Van Halen’s second era.

This expanded edition includes the original remastered album and newly released live performances from their 1995 Wembley show.
