NEW LP
New sealed copy. 2023 RSD 40th anniversary limited edition reissue on red coloured vinyl.
Originally released in November 1983, Under a Blood Red Sky is the first live album from U2, capturing the band during the War Tour and helping to cement their growing reputation as a powerful live act. Produced by Jimmy Iovine, the eight-track mini-album draws from performances in Boston, Germany, and their now-iconic June 5 show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.
The Red Rocks performance also formed the basis for the companion concert film Live at Red Rocks: Under a Blood Red Sky, released the following year. The album’s title is taken from the lyrics to “New Year’s Day,” and the tracklist features early live staples including “Gloria,” “I Will Follow,” and “Sunday Bloody Sunday.”
