The Special Goodness is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1996 by Weezer drummer Patrick Wilson. The band's line-up has included Atom Willard (drums), Weezer bassists Mikey Welsh and Scott Shriner, Pat Finn, Jeb Lewis, Lee Loretta, and Murphy Karges. The band's name comes from a description of how Wilson apparently feels when he creates music.

Land Air Sea is the third album by The Special Goodness. It was originally released in February 2003 by N.O.S. Recordings and was later remastered and reissued on Epitaph Records in 2004. Due to the by-now cemented lineup and refined material, Patrick Wilson considers Land Air Sea to be the band's "first true release", despite it being the third official release under the Special Goodness name.

On July 15, 2022, after being hinted by Karl Koch earlier in the year, a 12"-vinyl version of the album was released through the label Hello Records. It was pressed on red vinyl and limited to only 1000 copies, with slightly altered cover art and a unique sleeve. Alongside the release was a pre-order for a new Special Goodness t-shirt design, as well as a 4-part podcast mini-series titled The Special Podness hosted by Koch, Wilson, and Willard.
